Albert Reynolds’ state funeral to be held on Monday

The Irish Government have announced that the State funeral of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds will be on Monday.

His remains will lie in repose in the Mansion House on Saturday afternoon to allow members of the public to file past the coffin and pay their respects before removal to Sacred Heart Church, Donnybrook in Dublin 4 at 7.30pm.

His funeral Mass will begin at midday on Monday. He will then be buried in Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankhill.

Flags will be flown at half mast on all Government buildings until after Monday’s funeral.
