Adele’s trainer has revealed the secrets behind the singer’s recent weight loss

The Hello star’s trainer Pete Geracimo told Britain’s Heat magazine that he has been working on getting the 27-year-old in shape before her new tour kicks off in Belfast on 29 February (16).

Pete, who is based in London, UK, said that Adele works with cable machines which help train her whole body.

“It’s one of the fastest and most efficient ways of getting results,” Pete said of his methods.

Her routine also combines a weights and circuits programme called the Modified Strongman Workout.

“It trains a wide cross section of muscle groups and it’s very effective in boosting your metabolism and fat burning,” he added.

Pete trained Adele in the months before she gave birth to her son Angelo in October 2012. It’s not just exercise that has seen Adele shed the pounds however. Her meals are supplied by the company Pure Package, with owner Jennifer Irvine revealing the singer is now focused on eliminating sugary tea, alcohol and processed foods from her diet.

“She’s eating a really clean diet, with lots of fruit and vegetables, plus lean protein and complex carbohydrates,” she added to Heat.

The star has also given up smoking and cut back on alcohol.

Previously, Adele had stated that she had no interest in being “size zero” but wanted to be fit enough for her gruelling tour schedule.

“I’m not skipping to the f**king gym”, she told Rolling Stone in December (15).

However, the star also admitted that the weight loss means that she gets to shop for new outfits with her long-term stylist Gaelle Paul.

“I was trying to get some stamina for my tour, so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes — which is really a big problem for me,” she told Vogue magazine in the February (16) issue.

The Grammy winner is set to perform songs from her record-breaking third album 25 over 105 dates in the UK, Europe and North America.
