ABOUT

IF it's happening in the Irish world, you'll read all about it in the Irish World. Now in its 20th year, the Irish World has established itself among the Irish population in Britain and Ireland as the newspaper that puts community first.

And the Irish community in Britain has rewarded The Irish World for its efforts by making it its first choice when it comes to news, views and information about Ireland and the Irish in Britain.

We are an integral part of the Irish community in Britain and we are trusted by that community.

Whether it be a national campaign or support locally for a project, the Irish World lives up to its reputation as the newspaper that puts community first. It does this through its continuous championing of Irish causes.

The annual Irish World Awards have become the focal point for this activity. They celebrate the achievements and contributions made by a diverse range of Irish people in Britain from the famous Sir Bob Geldof, Richard Harris, Mo Mowlam, John Hume to the relatively less well known though no less worthy individuals whose grass roots work is typical of a commitment to community that the Irish World values so highly.

But it is not just at a community level that the Irish World is a success story. The newspaper enjoys an unrivalled reputation within the Irish business community in Britain and has attracted valued support and advertising from Allied Irish Bank, Stena Line, Irish Ferries, Aer Lingus, Bank of Ireland and Aer Arran among others.

In its 20-year-life the Irish World has made itself a cherished part of the Irish community in Britain, essential reading with a well-deserved reputation for getting to the heart of all things Irish.

But the Irish World is also more than just essential reading by the Irish and business community. Besides current affairs, it brings its audience news of Irish music, cinema, sport, humour, books, fashion and politics - everything that matters to the Irish is in there.
