Tir Chonaill Gaels 2 14
Fulham Irish 0 11

by Sean Moriarty

Tir Chonaill Gaels got their London Senior Football championship aspirations back on track after a dominant performance over Fulham Irish on Saturday.

Two goals, one in each half paved the way for the 2012 champions victory over the 2011 title holders.

It was a very important win for TCG given their shock defeat to Neasden Gals the previous weekend.

Over the course of the opening 15 minutes it was a fairly evenly contested game, with both sides swapping points.

The direction of the game changed significantly once Cathal McGee, set up by the ever-impressive Barry Mitchell found a way around Derek Butler to score the game’s first goal.

It reach the point of no return when Fulham’s star man, Lorcan Mulvey, was given his marching orders under the new black card rulings for a incident that also saw the Gael’s Marty McCoy sidelined.
