Majestic Wine has offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information that will lead to successful prosecution following a violent robbery at their Ealing store.

An unknown man violently beat a sales assistant with a bottle of wine causing stab wounds to his arms and hands and serious cuts to his head on Tuesday May 20.

The sales assistant had just opened the Majestic Wine Warehouse, Hastings Road, West Ealing, when the man entered and demanded money from the safe and threatened to kill the employee.

A quantity of cash was stolen and the assailant left the premises after locking the heavily bleeding victim in the toilet.

The suspect is described as a black male, aged between 20 to 25 years old, between 6’00″-6’02″ tall and of stocky build, wearing a grey hooded top.

Detective Constable Phelim Redmond, from the Mets Flying Squad, said: “This was a particularly nasty robbery during which the attacker used a gratuitous level of violence and could have resulted in a more serious outcome. I am appealing for help in identifying the person responsible before he strikes again.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Flying Squad at Putney on 101 quoting reference 2511966/14.
