Sean Treacys 2-16, Fr Murphys 1-7 By Gavin Mawn.

Sean Treacys continued their fine form in this season’s Senior Hurling Championship with a convincing victory over Fr Murphys at Ruislip on Sunday.

Treacys had too much firepower for Murphys to deal with, in particular number 13 Kevin O’Laughlin who was a constant nuisance for the Murphy backline after scoring seven points.

Immediately from the throw in, Treacys looked the far hungrier of the two teams and after 15 minutes they had victory well within their grasp after stretching the score to 2-2 to 0-1 after points from O’Laughlin and Philip Cocoman and goals from Pat Dineen and Pat Barry.

Murphys were on the rails, panicking in possession of the ball and being forced into mistakes by the high intensity pressure that Treacys were deploying on them, and it proved to be costly as Treacys stretched their first-half lead even further.

After points from O’Laughlin and Barry, Treacy’s number half forward John Cusack produced a sublime finish from all of 50 yards to put Treacys on 2-5, in contrast to Murphys contribution of 0-1.
