BBC Two period crime drama Peaky Blinders, which stars Cillian Murphy, has been honoured at the New York Festivals’ World’s Best TV & Films Awards.

The series won a Grand Trophy and a Gold World Medal in the Television – Regularly Scheduled Entertainment Program (Drama) category.

The winners were announced at the US’ National Association of Broadcasters’ Convention in Las Vegas.

The second series of Peaky Blinders is due to be shown on BBC Two in the Autumn.
