On Monday 17 March, Shayne Ward the X Factor winner and Dancing on Ice star popped into Levenshulme village in South Manchester to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in the heart of Manchester’s Irish Community.

The area turns ‘Green’ for the festival every year and even had a Leprechaun installed to welcome visitors to the village the media call ‘Little Ireland’.

The singer, who has Irish roots, was just one of hundreds of people who headed for the areas Irish bars to enjoy a glass or two of the black stuff and party the night away until the cows came home. Shayne is pictured here with members of the Justine Ward Mallinson School of Irish Dancing.
