GOAL supporters from the world of sport and entertainment have joined forces to launch the GOAL St Patrick’s Day Badges Campaign.

The charity’s sports patron, London Irish Rugby star Ian Humphreys and radio presenter Maggie Doyle, were on hand to give the appeal a boost in the UK.

GOAL is encouraging St Patrick’s Day revellers to purchase their St Patrick’s Day badges direct from the charity ahead of this year’s celebrations. All money raised from the sale will go directly to the organisation’s work in the Developing World. It is, says the organisation, a perfect way to show pride in our national day while also supporting a good cause.

“Every year we know that thousands of people purchase St Patrick’s Day Badges and other merchandise as part of the pageantry of March 17,” says GOAL UK’s Angela Sammon. “But by buying our badges, you can join in the fun while also making a vital contribution to our work around the world.

“They also make a perfect addition to any St Patrick’s Day office celebration. In previous years companies made a gift of real shamrock to their guests but the cost of sourcing and transportation has meant that this practice is no longer viable. Our badges are a perfect alternative and are 100% guaranteed wilt-free!”

Each badge is self-adhesive so messy soil and pin marks are a thing of the past! And GOAL is confident they are a much better quality than anything available in bargain shops around the country.

GOAL, an international humanitarian organisation, is currently working in 14 countries including South Sudan, where they are distributing aid to thousands of people displaced by recent violent conflict in the country.

GOAL St Patrick’s Day Badges are available in sets of 10 for £10. Send cheque payable to GOAL UK, 7A Hanson Street, London W1W 6TE or call 020 7631 3196 to pay by card.
