Fullen Gaels manager Stan Murray-Hession (pictured right) has withdrawn from the running to be the next London hurling senior manager.
Murray-Hession had been approached by Tommy Duane, of the committee appointed to find a replacement for Eamonn Phelan, prior to the Manchester club’s All Ireland Club JHC quarter-final victory over Ballinamere, and he had expressed an interest in speaking to the committee about the vacant position.
However, for logistical and timing issues he subsequently informed Duane of his decision to withdraw from the running.
“I wouldn’t have been able to consider starting the job until, hopefully, February,” Murray-Hession told the Irish World. “My head and my heart told me it wasn’t going to be possible. I’d have ended up doing a bad job at both and I wasn’t going to allow that to happen.
