Brothers Pearse captain Stephen Frawley will demand his teammates give their all for one hour on Sunday, and repay the efforts of a hardworking few.
The centre back and London senior hurler believes Pearse’s, who’ve been crowned senior champions just twice in the last 41 years (in 1998 and 1972), can upset the odds on Sunday and if they do it will be a deserved reward for those who’ve kept the club going in that time.
“This is the way to repay them and it only takes an hour. And if we really, really want it enough there’s no reason why we can’t take home that cup on Sunday,” said Frawley.
“The boys have really got the bit between their teeth, especially since the semi-final. They want to do it for the older lads – the lads who’ve done so much since 1998 and 1972, and before that.
