The stage could be set for the most exciting Intermediate Championship final in years, as Cuchulainns and Heston Gaels go head-to-head on Sunday.

The sides racked up ten goals between them in their respective semi-finals (Cuchulainns six, Heston four) and shared seven when they met in the championship last month – a game which saw Heston come out of top 4-11 to 3-12.

Heston and Cuchulainns are two sides hell-bent on attacking football, and seemingly subscribe to the philosophy of ‘we’ll score more than you’. Indeed, Cuchulains have racked up a mightily impressive 15 goals in their four championship games thus far. Sunday is one definitely not to be missed.

Robbie Croft has been central to that. The powerfully skilful forward was just too handle for Garryowen in their semi-final, helping himself to a hat-trick. It wasn’t his first of the season as Tara will testify.
