ALL FLIGHTS ACROSS Aer Arann and Aer Lingus Regional schedules will run as normal next week (week beginning August 19) after a planned strike by pilots was cancelled on Friday afternoon.
The industrial action was averted when airline management and pilot representatives reached an agreement.
The strike had been threatened for next Tuesday and Wednesday because management refused to end a 2008 pay freeze or reverse pay cuts implemented when the airline was in financial trouble.
“‘We are pleased to confirm to our customers that it is business as usual at the airline. The strike has been averted. All services will operate fully, across all routes, at all airports,” said Aer Arann.
Aer Arann operated 27 routes, including Aer Lingus Regional flights.
