Offaly hand Exiles tough start

Lacking match practice and unable to stop a second half barrage, London began their season on a disappointing note against a rampant Offaly side, although there were positives for Paul Coggins to take forward.

Played at Ruislip in front of a packed out crowd, both sides battled hard in a game of contrasting halve and exposed two sides at two very different points into their seasons.

London’s below-par second half performance clearly highlighted their lack of match fitness, where in comparison Offaly looked like a well-oiled outfit, having arrived at Ruislip with four games in the O’Byrne Cup under the belt.
