The hurt that's driving Fullen Gaels to All Ireland glory

Fullen Gaels earned another crack at the All Ireland by making it three in a row in the All Britain championship

Fullen Gaels need no greater motivation for next weekend’s All Ireland quarter-final than to recall last year’s semi-final defeat to Charleville of Cork, says manager Stan Murray Hession.

Having recently retained the British title for a third consecutive year with victory over London’s Fulham Irish, the Manchester club now face Connacht champions Calry/St Joseph’s of Sligo at Pairc na hEireann, Birmingham, on Saturday, and they’re determined to make amends for 12 months ago and go all the way to Croke Park.

Having created their own piece of history by beating Ulster champions Burt of Donegal in last year’s quarter-final, the Warwickshire champions succumbed to Charleville by 14 points at Walsh Park.
