Some soggy weather in London last weekend could do nothing to dampen the spirits as All-Ireland winning Kilkenny hurlers Eoin Larkin and Paul Murphy brought the Liam McCarthy Cup from South East Ireland to South East London.
The current captain of The Cats and one of their new star of the last two years, Larkin and Murphy were guests of the London Branch of the Kilkenny Supporters Club.
Joined by Kilkenny legend Liam “Chunky” O’Brien, Galway’s Iarla Tannion and The Irish World columnist, RTE pundit and Cork great Tomas Mulcahy, there was a wealth of hurling talent on show at two packed venues, The White Horse in Peckham and The Gipsy Hill Tavern on Friday and Saturday night respectively where Mulcahy presided over hilarious and informative question and answer sessions.
