Kingdom Kerry Gaels 2-06
St Kiernan’s 1-07

By Sean Moriarty

Reigning county champions , The Kingdom Kerry Gaels’ season is over despite a hard earned draw against St Kiernan’s on Saturday at Ruislip.

In fact it was last year’s defeated semi-finalist who were in control for much of the game and only for two lucky goals  in the second half the defending champions would have suffered a heavy defeat.

The first goal game mid-way through the second half when sub Aiden Dillane’s lame attempt at a point dropped short and St Kiernan’s goalkeeper Brendan Mulrooney fumbled the catch and the ball rolled effortlessly into the back of the net.
