Tommy Donoghue is adamant that this Parnells Ladies team will not make the same mistake as last year, if they again have the prize within their grasp.

Twelve months ago the Parnells manager saw his side throw away a five point lead with ten minutes to go against Limerick’s Lisnaskea, to lose by a point in injury-time. A heart-breaking defeat but one that Donoghue, whose side face Kilkerrin-Clonberne of Galway next weekend for a place in the All Ireland Club final, insists his side will not repeat.

“There’s only team that can beat us in the All Ireland this year and that’s ourselves,” said Donoghue. “We’re stronger mentally, we’re stronger individually and we’re definitely stronger as a team.
