Munster Rugby Supporter Club’s London branch is preparing to bring 100s of London-based supporters to Manchester for the opening round of the new for 2014 European Champions Cup against Sale Sharks on October 18.

The supporters club have been running coach trips to Munster games on this side of the Irish over the last few seasons and catered for four coach loads for the crunch Heineken Cup game at Gloucester last January.

The Manchester tie presents a new challenge to the club.

Chairman Jay Briganti said: “It will depend on interest but we have several options and it will depend on interest. Some fans may prefer an overnight trip, or just a day trip where we go up and down in the one day. We encourage those intending to travel to contact us so we can gauge numbers for each options.  With the match on in Manchester we are looking at new collection points in the north of the city near the M1.”
