At the end of last night’s Rose of Tralee show, presenter Dáithi Ó Sé took part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The Kerry TV presenter was nominated to take part in the challenge by his mother-in-law, which has gone viral over the past few days, to raise awareness of ALS.

Over $15 billion has been raised thus far through the internet campaign #ALSIceBucketChallenge, with proceeds going to progressive neurodegenerative disease foundation ALS Association.

Ben Affleck, Bill Gates, Steven Gerrard, Robert Downey Jr, Bill Gates, Eva Longoria, Vincent Kompany and Gwen Stefani are just some of the celebrities who have taken part in the challenge so far.

Dáithi, complete with dicky bow and suit, nominated fellow presenters Ray D’Arcy, Ryan Tubridy and Marty Whelan just before he was submerged in the ice cold water.
