Five-year-old Mary McGoey at the festival

The Curiosity Carnival at Smock Alley opened today to mark the start of Dublin’s annual festival of science and culture.

The Festival of Curiosity runs until this Sunday, and families are invited to step inside a world of science, play and curious technology in Temple Bar.

Puppet Dr. Eunice Daly was on hand to answer any kids’ curious questions, and other venues across the city are lending themselves to the festival to host science shows, curious trails and mysterious creatures.

It’s not just for kids either, by night there are intriguing performances, debates and shows available for adults to celebrate science. For more information visit www.festivalofcuriosity.ie.
