Police who were digging up the back garden of a house in Finsbury Park in their search for human remains following an allegation that dates back thirty years have found nothing although their inquiries continue.

The granddaughter of the Irish explorer Ernest Shackleton has lent her support to a new expedition by British explorer Jim McNeill.

Wayne Dundon, of the notorious Dundon family who waged bloody war on their crime rivals in Limerick throughout the 2000s, has been sentenced to life for murder. He joins his brothers Dessie and John who are also serving life sentences. Their siblings, Ger and Annabel, are both believed to be in the UK where they were born. There is a warrant out for Annabel’s arrest. Ger Dundon has been told his life is under threat if he returns to Limerick.

Community figure Andy Rogers’ community work is rewarded with a papal knighthood.
