Jackman and Fassbender in the new X-Men movie

By Shelley Marsden

Hugh Jackman has revealed that he used to dance to Blurred Lines on the X-Men: Days of Future Past set with his Irish co-star Michael Fassbender, who turned 37 yesterday.

The 45-year-old actor told The Sun, “Michael was particularly enamoured with the video to Blurred Lines.”

He added: “We’d strut about. I used to play the song in between takes on the X-Men set. It was a lot of fun. Everyone would just go into character and we’d be strutting around. It was identical to the video but we’d be mutants.”

Jackman added that the pair would sing along to the Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams hit: “I didn’t need to take the high bits. You’d be surprised what talented singers Michael and James [McEvoy] are. They could get up there.”

X-Men: Days of Future Past also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage and Ian McKellan, is out on May 22.
