IRISH indie movie Songs For Amy is set to receive its Dublin premiere in May, and the film, which is shot in and around Galway, is also being promoted by a global fundit campaign.

A feel-good love story set in the west of Ireland and New York, Songs for Amy follows the plight of musician Sean O’Malley (Sean Maguire) as he tries to get back in the good books with his future bride, Amy (Lorna Anderson), after a stag do goes horribly wrong

With the couple’s relationship on precarious ground, Sean hopes to write the perfect album of songs for her, with the help of his mischievous bandmates.

Written and produced by Fiona Graham and directed by BAFTA and Emmy-nominated Konrad Begg (Bear Grylls’ Born Survivor and Crimes that Shook the World), Songs For Amy has previewed and won awards at film festivals across the world, but will premiere in Dublin on May 1.  It will then open in selected cinemas on May 2.
