The recent wet weather could work to London’s advantage as they prepare to welcome Clare to Ruislip on Sunday.

The postponement of London’s Round 2 clash with Carlow two weeks ago has given the Exiles extra time to get their walking wounded back to full fitness and manager Paul Coggins is expected to be able to call upon the likes of Lorcan Mulvey, Greg Crowley, Dave McGreevy, Damien Dunleavy and Paul Geraghty – all of whom missed the defeat to Wicklow on February 2, and would have sat out the game against Carlow.

“It gave us the opportunity to get fitter and get a couple of lads back who possibly would not have been back. That’s an advantage,” said Coggins.

“It’s great to have Lorcan back training, and it’s great to have Dave and Greg back – experienced men. These type of guys – Damien Dunleavy and Paul Geraghty – you can’t buy that kind of experience. We know these guys can do it, they proved it on the big stage.”
