This Irish rugby team are still on track and in a commanding position for the top prize in this year’s Six Nations.

Not alone are they just on track, but they are growing in confidence as well. Ireland’s crushing victory over Wales in Dublin has built confidence and raised hope of a title challenge.

Another thing last weekend’s game against Wales has done is it leaves Ireland with two wins back-to-back and three great displays in a row, when we think back to that power performance against New Zealand in the autumn.

Such back-to-back performances have not been achieved by Ireland since 2009. Joe Schmidt seems to have turned the fortunes of Irish rugby and shown his ability. A mighty collision with England at Twickenham now awaits.
