Kingdom Kerry Gaels manager Noel Dunning was full of praise for his players after their county final victory over Tir Chonaill Gaels.

“You couldn’t have asked for any more from any group of players,” he said. “It was unbelievable and it was all because of the spirit that’s among this group – you couldn’t commend them highly enough, the work and commitment they’ve put in. Alay to that we’ve some class footballers.

“You could sense the feeling around the ground that the second half was a forgone conclusion. We fed that into the players at half-time and we actually grew from there.

“We knew we had the capability to pull it off. The belief was there, the confidence was there.  We were lucky enough to get the goal, but we deserved it as we worked hard enough to get it.
