Time for champions to show their class
Shane Jennings sheds blood for Leinster
By Damian Dolan
Champions Leinster have it all to do at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday if they are to keep alive their hopes of making it three Heineken Cup titles in a row, following defeat to Clermont Auvergne.
After Leinster’s 15-12 loss at the Stade Marcel Michelin last Sunday, anything less than a bonus point win in Dublin will leave the French side as firm favourites to top Pool 5, and resign Joe Schimdt’s side battling for an away quarter-final date at best.
Defeat on Saturday, meanwhile, is unthinkable and would leave Leinster looking at results elsewhere in order to sneak through to the last eight on just four wins. Their fate would be out of their own hands.
